Upcelerator Bootcamp ASEM - Empowering Young Innovators

On May 10, 2025, the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM) hosted the Upcelerator Bootcamp, an event dedicated to young entrepreneurs at the beginning of their journey.

Organized in partnership with Dreamups - an idea accelerator supported by the Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund (UMAEF), Central European Initiative (CEI), Mozaic, Agora.md, and diez, the event brought together passionate minds eager to turn ideas into impactful ventures.

The bootcamp took place in the modern StudentHUB space, through the Innovative Incubator IT4BA (Information Technologies for Business Applications), established within ASEM.

A Space for Ideas, Energy, and Collaboration

The event became a true meeting point for youth from across the country and the region, driven by their passion for entrepreneurship and innovation. Participants came with bold ideas, courageous questions, and remarkable energy.

The StudentHUB hall provided the perfect environment for a dynamic bootcamp - featuring flexible spaces for plenary sessions, teamwork, and one-on-one mentoring.

Throughout the day, startups benefited from:

• An inspirational keynote by Alexandru Lunca?u;
• Interactive and thought-provoking workshops led by Nick Himovicz, Elena Oprea, and Kardo Sharifi;
• Personalized feedback during 1:1 mentoring sessions with resident mentors.

ASEM & IT4BA - Nurturing the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs

Through IT4BA, ASEM reaffirms its role as an academic platform open to interdisciplinary collaboration, strongly connected to the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Moldova and the region.
